Fast neutron radiotherapy:

The University of Washington has the only fast neutron facility with a
computer controlled multileaf collimators.  Along with collaborators
at Idaho National Engineering Laboratory, I have been working to model
our facility using a state-of-the-art Monte Carlo code, MCNP4A.  It
is hoped that such a model will improve our ability to make improvements
and modifications to the system, to provide answers to difficult and
unique clinical questions, and to further elucidate the important 
physical mechanisms involved in fast neutron radiotherapy.
