The Radiation Oncology residency is a four-year ACGME accredited program that begins in the PGY-2 year. We are the largest residency program in the Pacific Northwest and one of the larger programs in the country. We offer the resources of a world-class cancer center, located in one of the country’s most beautiful and vibrant cities. We encourage you to explore our website and learn more about us.The University of Washington is recognized nationally and internationally as one of the country’s premier cancer centers. In addition to our own resources, we have a long-standing clinical and academic relationship with the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and its team of world-renowned investigators, including three Nobel laureates. We are tightly aligned with Seattle Children’s Hospital – the premier pediatric referral center for Washington, Alaska, Montana and Idaho – and with the VA Puget Sound, a national referral center of excellence for prostate brachytherapy and other services. We are one of the twelve academic cancer centers in the country (along with Memorial Sloan Kettering, Johns Hopkins, MD Anderson and others) that make up the National Comprehensive Cancer Care Network.
